THEY'RE BOOZY, FAKED TANNED AND OUT OF CONTROL.

CONTROVERSIAL REALITY SHOW GEORDIE SHORE... IS BACK.... HORRIFYING PARENTS AND ENTERTAINING GEN Y AROUND THE GLOBE.

“This time around I'm going to get mortal, I'm going to dance on tables, I'm going to dance on chairs, I'm going to be sick on me self,” says Charlotte.

“I have pulled myself a worldie,” says Charlotte.
“Flanter,” adds Sophie.
“Bosh,” says James.
“I’m having a mint time,” says Dan.

THEIR WORDS MAY BE FOREIGN LANGUAGE TO SOME... BUT IT APPEARS TO BE THE LANGUAGE OF RATINGS FOR MTV...

“Mint is like cool, tashing on which is kissing. Bosh is just like… bosh, bosh, just dance moves”, Holly explains.

AND THEY'RE BRINGING THEIR DANCE MOVES DOWN UNDER... 'TASHING ON' AND GETTING 'MORTAL' IN SYDNEY FOR THEIR LATEST SERIES ...

“We're not used to finding girls hiding in our garden, or lads on the roof and the police had to be called. We just didn't expect the reaction. I mean it's all positive… everybody loves it… but in another sense it is very intimidating and it is scary at times,’ say Holly.

STAR HOLLY HAGAN IS A TYPICAL GEORDIE GIRL... SHE WAS PLUCKED FROM OBSCURITY AT JUST 18... AFTER ANSWERING THE SHOW'S CALL OUT ON FACEBOOK...

“I went form working in a call centre earning like literally nothing for a month and now i actually get the chance to travel the world, do amazing things and actually be able to earn enough money to give back to my family,” says Holly.

BUT WITH THE SHOW DUBBED THE UNCENSORED BIG BROTHER ... IT HAS ONE WONDER ... WHAT DO THEIR PARENTS THINK?

“I watch it with my mum and all my friends... and stuff and if there's like a moment when I'm in bed with a boy or something she'll be like, 'for god's sake Holly,' and I'll be like, 'well you did it when you were a kid. Every parent's done it, every parent's had the wild nights out and the crazy times so I mean what can she say?” says Holly.

BUT IS A LIFE OF 24 HOUR PARTYING ALL IT'S CRACKED UP TO BE?

“People see it as the most amazing job in the world... like most kids would kill to do this but what people don't see is you are filming constantly... Your privacy is completely invaded and then even when you're outside the show, your whole life, your image, your personality is being criticized by everybody,” Holly says.

AND CRITICISM CAME FAST... WITH THE FIRST SERIES QUICKLY BUILDING A REPUTATION FOR SCANDAL...

“A lot of people in Newcastle were like very against it. Half the people of our age group applied to be on the show so most of it was jealousy,” Holly says.

TWO YEARS ON AND THE SHOW IS STILL A CONSTANT FEATURE IN THE UK PRESS... CONDEMNED FOR PROMOTING VIOLENCE AND BINGE DRINKING... BUT SUPPORTERS OF THE SHOW ARGUE... GEORDIE SHORE MERELY HOLDS UP A MIRROR TO SOCIETY...

“We feel that the majority of people our age do go out and do exactly what we do. People who are in uni halls have random people back on nights and go out and get drunk and be sick on themselves and I feel like that's just what this generation is and people have just go to accept it... like it's not us making your kids like that.... like if you want to control them than that's fine but you can't blame something on a television program,” Holly says.

HERE IN ADELAIDE ON A NIGHT CLUB APPEARANCE... HOLLY TOOK US ALONG TO SEE WHAT A REAL GEORDIE NIGHT ENTAILED...

HAIR AND MAKEUP... CHECK, LIMO PARTY BUS... CHECK, ENTOURAGE...CHECK.

A FAR CRY FROM HER GEORDIE SHORE PERSONA... HOLLY WAS WELL BEHAVED, LEVEL HEADED AND SOBER... MEETING AND GREETING EXCITED ADELAIDE FANS...

SO WHETHER YOU LOVE OR HATE IT... GEORDIE SHORE APPEARS HERE TO STAY... IT WAS MTV UK'S HIGHEST RATING PROGRAM TO DATE WITH ITS SUCCESS PUT DOWN TO ITS ABILITY TO ENGAGE WITH YOUNGER AUDIENCES.

“We're not any different to anybody else in the world. We feel like we're not massively skinny and we haven't got model looks but we're all just normal girls,” says Holly.

AND WITH DOUBLE THE NUMBER OF TWITTER FOLLOWERS THAN FORMER PM JULIA GILLARD... THERE'S NOY DENYING HOLLY'S A ROLE MODEL TO MANY... EVEN THOUGH SHE MIGHT NOT THINK SO...

”I would never want people to be like.. oh holly does it so I'm going to do it. I don't like that at all. I feel like if you're old enough to watch the show, you're old enough to make your own decisions in life and I don't want anything that I do on the show to go out and be like yeah you do it like that's not what I'm trying to do,” says Holly.
AND SHE OFFERS SOME SIMPLE ADVICE TO CRITICS OF THE SHOW…

“At the end of the day we are just kids, we are having fun. If you don't want to watch it then turn it off,”
Holly says.
