KIDS ARE FAST BECOMING JUST AS FASHION CONSCIOUS AS ADULTS...

ALL THE LATEST TRENDS... NOW AVAILABLE IN SMALLER SIZES...

BUT THEY TEND TO OUTGROW THEIR CLOTHES.. FASTER THAN THEY GO OUT OF FASHION...

"At the rate kids grow and go through clothes there's not such a bigger emphasis on quality as much as getting that bang for your buck,” says stylist Daniel Symes.

SO IS IT POSSIBLE TO FIND COOL KIDS CLOTHES AT BARGAIN PRICES?
WE ENLISTED STYLIST AND MUM-TO-BE.. DANIELLE SYMMES.. TO FIND OUT.

“I'm going to try and find cool outfits for kids aged 3 to 12 for under $25,” says Danielle.

LET'S SEE HOW SHE WENT...

“We actually came under budget for every single outfit except for one,” Danielle says.

DANIELLE WAS SPOILT FOR CHOICE IN THE THREE TO SIX YEAR AGE GROUP...

“Kara's outfit it was $5 for the little basic tp. The little leopard print jeggings, they were also $5 and then we have the gorgeous cardigan which is nice and warm for her and that was $12,” says Danielle.

“Noah we got from Best and Less as well and his shirt and tie which comes together was $15 and his little burgundy chinos were $7,” says Danielle.

“Cameron was dressed by Best and Less. It was $7 for the little long sleeved stripped top, $7 for his little cord pants and $10 for the denim jacket which is an absolute bargain,” Danielle adds.

“Mitchell was dressed by K-mart and we had a lot of fun at K-mart and we got some really good bargains. The check shirt with the hoodie was $5, the little top underneath which is also lone sleeve so a bit of extra warmth there as well… that was $3 and the burgundy jeans they were $8,” adds Danielle.

THE 10 TO 12'S HAD THE BIGGEST RANGE OF STYLISH CLOTHES TO CHOOSE FROM... FOR A GOOD PRICE..

“So, Alex was dressed by K-mart. This came in under budget at $20. This gorgeous little jersey blazer was $8, the jeans with the floral print were also $8 and they had great basics at Kmart… these were only $4,” says Danielle.

“Carter is dressed in this gorgeous little shirt. This was only $5. This sweater that we've got over the top was only $8 and then we've got the red chinos which were $10.. so under budget at $23,” Danielle adds,

TO KEEP THE KIDS HAPPY.... AND YOUR BANK ACCOUNT... THESE ARE DANIELLE'S TIPS

“There's definitely different areas that you can save money in. I found that pants and jeans and leggings were all around the $7 mark. Basic t-shirts were the $3 to $5 mark. Buying up a size is a really smart way to do it. Shopping during sale times is definitely the way to go, shopping now for the year ahead is really smart shopping,” says Danielle.
