The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) monitors average prices for unleaded petrol, diesel, and LPG in all capital cities and 190 regional locations around Australia.
The ACCC does not set LPG fuel prices. They are set by participants in the market.
LPG prices are generally slow to change, both up and down, in response to movements in the benchmark price.
While high LPG fuel prices are not of themselves evidence of anti-competitive behaviour which may be in breach of the Act, if consumers have any evidence about potentially anti-competitive behaviour in breach of the Act they may contact the ACCC InfoCentre in the first instance on 1300 302 502.
