Why SA tourism icon Larry the Lobster is tearing a small town apart.

INVITATION TO RESTORE LARRY FROM LARRY’S OWNERS, CASEY AND JENNA SHARPE

The antlers have been removed and repairs are well underway. This has allowed easy access to the shell which is ready for preparation prior to the fibreglass repairs. We invite you to be involved and make this a fun day whilst at the same time join together as a community to restore Kingston’s icon – Larry the Lobster.

We will be providing a sausage sizzle lunch and welcome any community group to offer their time to cook the BBQ. We will be permanently honouring everyone, community groups, individuals and businesses on a plaque adjacent to Larry so the world can see that Larry is valued by the Kingston community, a small but a memorable town in the south east of South Australia with an enviable community spirit and a valued icon.

We invite you to join us for this working bee from 10.00am to 1.00pm on Sunday, December 4th. If you are unable to roll up your sleeves and help you are welcome to come along and show your support and enjoy a sausage sizzle lunch. Everyone is welcome – why not come along and be a part of our community’s effort to restore Larry.

For more info, call Casey Sharpe on 0419 954 492.
