Sons of Gallipoli

Story Details

In just over a month thousands of Australians will travel halfway across the world to Gallipoli for the annual Anzac Day dawn service… But this year will be unlike any other.

As the sun rises on Anzac Cove, it will mark 100 years since Aussie troops first landed on the rocky shores… And competition for a place at the service was fierce.

Over 45 thousand applied for a pass and only one in 5 were lucky enough to secure a spot.

While every Australian appreciates the sacrifice of the diggers who died at Gallipoli, for these sons the trip will be a special tribute to their fathers
