Programs or stories he produced have won the prestigious Thorn award for best current affairs program nationally and been commended in the Walkleys Award, Australia's highest award in journalism, for best current affairs story.

Hendrik has worked in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart and Parliament House in Canberra. He’s travelled and reported in the USA, South America and Canada and Europe.
